If you have a commercial, game, stage production, show, or feature coming up and need someone who understands both fly fishing and visual production, let's talk!
My formal education is in film & TV production and theory, and I spent years in the L.A. production scene (fishing between shoots, of course). I've worked on projects ranging from scrappy interstitials, to national commercials and shows, to A-list features (including A River Runs Through It). Because of that, I not only understand how to get solid results within fly-fishing scenes, but I have real-world knowledge of the limits imposed by location and production schedules. I also bring a background in storyboards, so understand shot-by-shot structure and flow.
I can train actors in casting and fishing, whether that means a set of mimic moves for quick shots, or more intense work for longer-term needs. I have worked with motion capture and biomechanics, and if an actor has a personal trainer I can interface as needed.
My advisory work can expand to gear/props and wardrobe, as well as making sure that actors are shown fishing in water that would actually hold fish.
Need fly-fishing talent beyond the advisory level? I can provide that, too, as either a double or an actor. I can play older and younger, modern and period, and have doubled for multiple characters in a single shoot. Being right at six feet with a medium build offers versatility, as well.
